Frequently Asked Questions

Go to, or click on the “Post a Rant” link that’s shown on every page to logged in users. Just fill out the form and click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page. That's all there is to it!

That will let you submit a standard Rant, but if you want to submit a Video Rant, you'll need to click on the "Create Video Rant" tab. That form includes a field where you can paste in the link to your video, but otherwise the procedure is the same.

The short answer is, you can't. Much like when you send an email, or speak in public, you can't un-say things on My Pet Peeves. When you submit a Rant or comment it becomes part of the My Pet Peeves community dialog. If you wish to clarify your statement, or if your feelings have changed, then you can always post a comment on your own rant.

In the event of serious extenuating circumstances—like if your rant constitutes a violation of some legal statute—then you can contact us and we will do our best to remedy the situation. However, we will not do so lightly.

A Peeve is like a vote for a Rant. Its a way for you to say "this drives me crazy too!"

When you come across a Rant that you relate to, click the "I'm Peeved" button under the Peeve count for that Rant. The button will then be replaced by a note saying "You're Peeved" to indicate you've already cast a vote for that Rant.

Note that you must be logged in to Peeve a Rant.

The popularity rating of a Rant takes into account many factors in an attempt to gage the community's overall interest in the Rant right now. Gaining Peeves temporarily increases a Rants popularity, but it is not the only thing that does so.

If you encounter a bug, abusive behavior or other problem on the site, please use our Contact page to let us know what’s happening. The MyPetPeeves team wants to make sure the community’s concerns are heard and responded to quickly.

Just log in and go to your user profile (there's a link at the top of the page). Click on the "Edit" tab and you will be taken to a form where you can change all of your account information.

Our policy is one person, one account. This is necessary to protect the integrity of our system and prevent users from artificially inflating the Peeve count, which is explicitly against our Terms of Use.

Unfortunately, we're not psychic. Just contact us and we'll try to answer all your questions.
