Last minute holiday shopping

I'm a procrastinator, and at this time of year I usually leave most of my holiday shopping to the last minute. Although I know it€™s my fault, I'm really bothered by this kind of rushed and crowded shopping, especially for all the smaller gifts and stocking stuffers that I need. The crowded aisles and long checkout lines make you wonder if it's all worth spending 1/2-1 hour just for a $10 item--my time is worth something too, you know!!

I guess, now that I really think about it, not only do I procrastinate but I also just hate shopping!! And what about the service you get in stores this time of year--if you can call it service?? I appreciate the crowds of people that the salespeople have to deal with, but when did 'the customer is always right' and 'service with a smile' go out of style?? And doesn't common courtesy exist anymore??

The Internet has taken a big part of the sting out of shopping, but it has opened a new floodgate by listing bazillions of sites to check-out for items I search for. So now the purchase is relatively painless and there's no hassle of finding a parking spot or navigating the crowds and lines but a new pain arises: sorting through the seemingly endless search result listings supplied by the various search engines and knowing the 'search-word' secrets.

think of the poor clerk on the otherside of the counter that has to put up with the thousands of lazy people who waited until the last minute to shop then complain about all the others doing the SAME thing. I feel sorry for them. You should to.
