She thinks she's "all that!"

So I'm crossing the parking lot to get to the sidewalk today for my 8:00 a.m. class.  I know there's a car coming from the FAR point of the lot, but I'm almost to the crosswalk, so I have no concerns about getting across in time.  However, Miss "Thing" decided she was going to pretend to be a Nascar driver, so she didn't slow down upon approach at the intersection where I was.  She literally almost mowed me down.  AND, get this -- this is the VERY BEST PART -- she had the nerve to look at me as though I WAS IN THE WRONG!!!  AND, she even ran the stop sign.

So, I, being 40 and not taken to being treated so disrespectfully, especially by a prissy young thing, gave the university police a phone call.  I'm sure missy thought I was nothing more than an inconvenience to her schedule, BUT when she gets a warning ticket, she may think twice about pulling that stunt again.

And I'm not really sure she's a prissy young thing, but she wore the facial expression that says, "I ain't stoppin', so you better get yo ___ outta my way."

What a bitch! I'd have to ...

What a bitch! I'd have to find her car and scratch a few choice words on it....but I'm very vindictive.

Good for you. Hopefully ...

Good for you. Hopefully the university police will do their job. Bitches like that deserve to be taken down a peg or two before she kills someone. Lucky she doesn't live in my hometown. At lunch time, the local high school students entertain themselves driving up and down the main drag. Most behave themselves, burning Daddy's gas, but there is always an exception. A couple years ago, one young jerk with a sporty car that Daddy bought for him, thought like the idiot that just missed you. Crosswalks were no obstacle. He wouldn't stop for anyone in a crosswalk. It was interesting how he explained the large dent in his car roof put there by one of the town's senior citizens who decided to teach him who had the right of way. At least Daddy had the brains to believe the senior (the witnesses helped) and junior's fancy car was sold.

Get her nestle..sounds like something i would do

GENERALLY, and this may ...

GENERALLY, and this may JUST be me (LOL), but generally, I slow DOWN when I see people crossing the street , IF they have the right of way and are NOT being arrogant about how they cross the street (like the attitude of "I KNOW you're NOT going to hit ME).

Good point, Dawn. I never ...

Good point, Dawn. I never assume that it's okay to cross, even when I have the right of way -- on our campus ALL pedestrians have the right-of-way at crosswalks -- cars MUST stop. However, she was nowhere near the crosswalk when I began my journey. But yes, even when I'm about to enter a crosswalk, I stop to be sure the vehicles are going to adhere to policy. And I make FAST business about getting my butt across, which is so NOT what these young college children do! LOL!!

Nestle, I am glad you ...

Nestle, I am glad you called the University police. She needs to learn that she is not the only person in the world!
