"Note: This article is satire, brought to you by the creative minds at The Peoples News. It’s not real, but we hope it made you think. "

Dawn--true story-- when I ...

Dawn--true story-- when I was teaching at a junior college-- I had a student who named her little boy Orangejulius. She said she copied it down at the mall and said it was pronounced Oran-juh-lus. All I could think of was that the boy might turn out to be a doctor or lawyer and would definitely have to change his name. BTW-- no surprise-- I'm sorry to say she quit school when she got pregnant again.

That article made me ...

That article made me laugh. At first I thought it was true! There was a family in Texas with the last name, HOGG. They had two daughters and they named them, IMA and URA. The father, BIG JIM HOGG was a governer there!

Sorry madmess, but you ...

Sorry madmess, but you need to check yuor facts. The following comes directly from Wikipedia's page about Governor James Hogg:

"James Stephen "Big Jim" Hogg (March 24, 1851 – March 3, 1906) was a Texas lawyer and statesman, and the Governor of Texas. He was born near Rusk, Texas. Hogg is often remembered for naming his daughter Ima Hogg, an odd name which derived from a poem written by James' brother, Thomas Elisha Hogg. The rumor that she had a sister named "Ura" is an urban legend."

Being a Texan, I had to set the record straight...=)
