THAT is what I paid for gas!!!!  now it's only 45.00 to fill up when it used to be 90.00!!  actually I paid 48.00 cuz I forced 3 more dollars in there.

HOLY CRAP!!  never thought I'd be so excited about that.

but of course when I texted my mom about it I'll write to you exactly what she wrote:

"this was a republican-contrived (gas) pump-f*ck.  it's no coincidence-low gas so close to voting day!  they started the increases in May, amassed billions in 2nd and 3rd quarter profits, returning to a price that generates a few billion per quarter.  don't be fooled.  be aware that we're being manipulated."

David and I have been trying to decide what to do AND where to go, but we just don't know where to go YET til about Sunday.  we are going to put all the things we aren't bringing with us in the attic, since that was the only "safe" spot last time.  I just hope that we DON'T flood again.  I don't mind the hurricanes and bad weather, I just don't want water in my house.  and even though this computer ISN'T a laptop, I'M BRINGING IT!!  I lost too much last time to make the same mistakes again.  so I'll hopefully still be able to keep in touch with ya'll.  I'll email you guys my cell # so you can text or call me.  I'll let you know my plans as we figure them out.

I'm glad they finally did an article about it, I've known about these prices for some time now,  but it's hard to get others to realize how much people are paying when there's no article about it! Here's something for some perspective:

"a loaf of bread goes for $6; a gallon of milk, $10; a dozen eggs, $4.60; a pound of strawberries, $10; a half-pound of lunch meat, $7."

I saw a vehicle covered with bumper stickers. They were along the lines of "no war for oil". "How much blood must we shed for oil?". Basically, all anti-oil. You get the idea. In fact, they weren't just on the bumper-the vehicle was covered with them. So much so that you almost couldn't see what color it was.

The vehicle was an SUV!  I think it was a model that gets, like, 10 mpgs! lol  I don't whether to laugh or cry.

I was so sick and tired of reading the news and seeing that gas prices were going down, just to drive past a gas station and see them still the same. FINALLY yesterday the prices changed!! We were at $4.44 a gallon, and now we're down to $4.39!!! I know it's not much, but that's HUGE for us right now!! I was getting close to a half tank so I stopped to fill up, just because I know it's only a matter of time until it goes back up.

Refineries. They should ALL be shut down!

Some say that we need to stop adding to the global warming by ceasing the use of gas powered engines and stop using coal for energy. I say ‘sure’ we should all do this, in fact, to start I say that first those that have said this should lead the way my turning their automobiles over to a junkyard or at least, the ENGINES that use that type of ‘bad’ power sources. You can’t say, ‘well, I only use MY car to drive a mile or so, I ride a bike otherwise. That is the same as telling a VEGAN that while you support not using animals for food, you do so by ‘only’ eating that burger once in awhile! IT IS THE SAME HYPOCRACY! Either you go all in or you stop complaining that people aren’t doing it! I told a person working at Whole Foods that I only eat meat sometimes; they told me I was STILL part of the problem until I quit eating meat COMPLETELY! I agree, until I stop eating meat, no matter how little it is, I am supporting the slaughter of ALL animals for food, as long as I drive a car, no matter how little I drive it, as long as it is using gasoline, I am part of the problem. Until I stop BEING part of the problem, I actually have no right to tell or expect others to ‘do as I SAY do and not as I DO!

Comments? I am mostly sure I am looking at ONE person in particular, but I bet he or she (not naming names here) will respond other than to say how our president is as bad as it gets, but not actually taking the blame for his (or hers, still not naming names) is really doing by driving that car around Baltimore (or wherever he or she lives and works).

That is ‘all’.

I wonder if it has leg/head room?

I guess some of us here had better move our funds (yes TGIX, I am looking in your direction. And AKsnow, don't think I don't know about your oil funds either.
