My Peeve is why there is even catagory on this website  for Nascar and Busch? I can think of nothing (beside paint drying) to watch on TV that is more boring than cars driving around in a circle one hundred times.  YAWN! Oh wow he made a left turn ohh ohh ohhhhh another left turn, oh wait its another left turn.  Fun, Fun, Fun, NOT!

I’ll use some “not so used” categories!

By: AKsnowbunnie in NASCAR, Race Car Driving, Automobile, Car financing assistance - on June 25th, 2008

I've decided that being my auto insurance is up for renewal next month that I will shop around for the best price I can get. I have been with this company, I won't mention their name *cough* progressive *cough* since I first got my learners permit, over 10 years ago. I usually pay in full (which I will not anymore being I got the brand new car and it's a bit more).

After using a few websites that send you quotes and calling a few places, I was honestly shocked to see that this company *cough* progressive *cough* was over $100 MORE then any other company (geico not included - but I won't go with them because of that STUPID lizard). I mean I have been with this company for so many years where is my "loyal customer" discount? Or at least my FAIR price?? They were always the best priced for me, but all of a sudden they are $100 more then the rest? Do they think they can just WALK over loyal customers??

Needless to say, tomorrow I will send all my info to another company, the lowest bidder for the SAME exact coverage (actually better coverage) and will start with them when mine runs out. The cheapest company also gives a discount for doing a direct payment from my account!! That stupid company *cough* progressive *cough* just lost a customer for life. One that was never late with payments (my credit is through the roof) and one that just purchased a brand new car. Stupid Insurance Company!

On the plus side, my new insurance company sponsors my favorite NASCAR driver.. hehehe, so convenient! Kinda made my day that they were the cheapest!

She thinks she’s “all that!”

By: nestle9 in People Who Are..., NASCAR - on October 30th, 2007

So I'm crossing the parking lot to get to the sidewalk today for my 8:00 a.m. class.  I know there's a car coming from the FAR point of the lot, but I'm almost to the crosswalk, so I have no concerns about getting across in time.  However, Miss "Thing" decided she was going to pretend to be a Nascar driver, so she didn't slow down upon approach at the intersection where I was.  She literally almost mowed me down.  AND, get this — this is the VERY BEST PART — she had the nerve to look at me as though I WAS IN THE WRONG!!!  AND, she even ran the stop sign.

So, I, being 40 and not taken to being treated so disrespectfully, especially by a prissy young thing, gave the university police a phone call.  I'm sure missy thought I was nothing more than an inconvenience to her schedule, BUT when she gets a warning ticket, she may think twice about pulling that stunt again.

And I'm not really sure she's a prissy young thing, but she wore the facial expression that says, "I ain't stoppin', so you better get yo ___ outta my way."

It felt sooo good…

By: Dawn in Driving / Traffic, People Who Are..., Suggest-A-Peeve, Entertainment, Rude, NASCAR - on September 10th, 2007

I did the "law of the garbage truck" thing today!!
I was driving, of course, and a lady was BEHIND, yes, behind me and we all, in my lane, HAD to merge into another lane and you know when you're driving behind a bunch of cars in a line, it moves slowly. well, Ms. Thing decides she doesn't want to wait her turn for the people in front of her, e.g. ME and as soon as I was just starting to merge over, she wants to go all Dale Earnhardt on me and speed up from behind me and she almost HIT me but luckily no one was comin in the left lane so she was able to QUICKLY JERK, and I mean jerk, over into that lane and when she passed me on my left she had the UGLIEST face and I could tell she was cursing too, BUT what did I do??!! she decided to qualify for NASCAR while merging into the lane while the rest of us were merging at the same safe speed!

SO, when I was able to get by and drove by her about 30 seconds later, in the FAR left lane, no less, I FLASHED my BEST smile at her and she was FUMING!! After all, what did I do??

**side note–people who are rude should also be added to the category, I thought it was already there, but it's not.

cat/dog lovers, this is for you, er, them, just read…

Futbol/Soccer

By: hootie1fan in People Who Are..., Soccer/Futbol, NASCAR - on July 12th, 2007

There's no one in my circle of friend with whom I can speak about my interest in soccer. They are all into college football and NASCAR which I totally don't get, but I can at least carry on a conversation about them.

Wanted: Poker/NASCAR Channel

By: Amarettoxo in People Who Are..., NASCAR - on May 29th, 2007

Just back from Ceasars Atlantic City and Cape May. The lady I went with has an aunt that is management there so it didn't cost me a dime. When the smoke cleared I was $600 in the black and I still found something to complain about. The Travel Channel and ESPN were both there filming poker games. How come? I suppose you could call this entertainment but sport is a bit of a stretch. I don't get the people that go to casinos to watch someone else play poker. They finally wised up and gave hunting, bass fishing and golf their own channel. Why not poker and NASCAR. Both are popular enough. Anyone that can pull off a show that features a dozen people casting a line in the water and letting a fish decide who gets the prize money could surely come up with NASCAR and Poker networks. I get a bit tired of turning on the Travel Channel to check out deals on vacation spots and seeing a poker marathon. Someone let me know if I'm wrong and these channels exsist. I don't have them in my area.
Almost forgot. I apologize for not hitting the jackpot and beg everyones forgivness.
You guys didn't think I was talking about the "go to hell" part did you?
