Tonight, on the way home from mil's house, there was a cute little puppy, a Golden Retrieve pup, with a bow around it's neck, just wandering about the freeway! THREE cars nearly hit it, I and my wife following behind were nearly rear-ended by another five cars, and two cars on the oncoming side of the freeway (actually, a highway at this junction) were nearly killed, all because someone either got a dog without 'safeing' the yard, OR (and just as likely) someone did NOT want thier kid to keep the dog (realizing what those actually cost!) and LET IT GO 'FREE'!!!

PEOPLE (not YOU people, y'all are 'good' and 'responsible' people so just tell those others what I said here), IF you cannot take care of the dog, don't ADOPT a dog! IF you find yourself with an unwanted dog, CALL THE SPCA AT LEAST! They will be happy to come get the animal so you don't have to do anything!

BTW,no idea what happened to that dog, he disappeared into the night!

well, today I get a letter in the mail saying that my claim was denied and that the asshole that hit me was NOT at fault!!!???  and now MY insurance has to not only pay for my damages BUT HIS TOO!!??

but that's only the beginning, I have now found out that the policeman LIED to me that day.  wow, can you believe it?  I was told that the other driver was getting a speeding ticket ALONG with the ticket he was giving me for "reasonable vigilance".  he told me he was giving him a ticket for speeding when I asked him what the hell reasonable vigilance meant while I signed my ticket.  and not only did the other guy NOT get a ticket, he made it seem like I was backing out on the street when he hit me!  I was NOT moving and was STILL on the parking lot, not even off the CURB when he hit me and the first thing out his mouth was, "I didn't see you"  but that's NOT what the police report says.  of course, HE says that he "observed me backing out from a private lot onto the street and he was unable to avoid the movement of my truck and hit me…!!!???"  WTF??!!  I SAW HIS ASS A HALF A BLOCK AWAY BEFORE HE HIT ME.  THAT'S WHY I WAS WAITING TO BACK OUT ON THE STREET!!!  NOW HE MAKES IT SEEM LIKE I WAS BACKING OUT AND NOT LOOKING AND CAME OUT ON THE ROAD IN FRONT OF HIM!  IF THAT WAS SO, THEN WHY WAS I STILL ON THE CURB, STILL ON THE PARKING LOT!!??  I don't know how clear this will be for you to see but this is a copy of what was on the report.

and I go to court on jan 14 for my ticket.  so if I win, then does my insurance still pay??  this is a mess!

Why in the name of god would you name your kid Adolph Hitler? This is a kid who gonna be humilated alot in his life and probably bullied on the playground. What were these people thinking? I posted about this awhile ago but I'll do a quick recapp for anyone who didn't see it.  Julie Amero was convicted after a computer she had been using began to wildly display sexually based pop ups, the woman was NOT surfing for porn and only used the computer for reading email and for taking attendance. The woman, from what I have read, was not tech savvy and did not know how to stop the pop ups (I can tell you it can be hard to turn them off).  This woman was arrested and convicted for this and faced 40 years in prison! A judge later overturned her conviction, but prosecuters filed charges again. The teacher pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and lost her teaching certification. I didn't see it in the article but I wouldn't be surprised if she would have had to registered as a sex offender.

The whole thing is a disgrace and a mess! The charges filed were for "risk of injury to a minor", huh? Seeing naked people on a TV screen injures teenagers? Keep in mind this was a middle school, kids see each other naked in the showers by now and have no doubt seen thier parents naked, and have the net at home.

I also take issue with a 40 year sentence for something so trivial. Christ some pervert in our town just got 7 years for ACTUALLY sexually violating a 12 year old. The sentence just doesn't fit the crime here, 40 years is too excessive. The woman didn't open the porn this was done by malicious programming on what I believe was a community computer, which means anyone could have infected the system. Where were the firewalls, anti-virus, and other security software? The school should have made sure all that was in place so something like this would never have happened. It seems to me the school needed to place the blame on someone else so they didn't have own up to thier screw up.

Let us be honest here, these kids weren't harmed in anyway. They saw some penis and vagina in a classroom, something they've likely already seen on the computer at home. I also wonder how many of the kids in this class are already sexually active, most of them probably have done the deed. The notion that these kids were harmed by a mere glimpse of some porn is outrageous! The prosecuter who bought the case before a judge should be ran out of office, I would be the first to lead that rally!

We've got people being raped, molested, murdered, and ripped off by REAL criminals and THIS is what we focus on? No wonder why we have so much crime. 

Help me out here. We are all working harder and more hours to make less money while the economy continues to reel out of control. Meanwhile, back in the sporting world these ball players like manny ramirez is holding out for $24 million a year. That is, instead of $20 Million. Sometimes I wonder that all the sports guys and celebrities help to keep feeding the culture that "i can never make enough money" while the rest of us whither. What goes here?

Same thing with the autopresident of GM, Ford.. a couple of those guys made $13 million plus last year. For what? All they did was to continue the failed strategy that they have followed for years. They should give the money back? How do we stop this madness?

Why are so many people suckered into this madness? I hate that these stores put out these "great" offers for 4AM, not only that but only have a VERY limited amount of the "great deal". You'll get 200 people lining up the night before in hopes snagging one of 50 Playstations, Stupid.

Is it me or is it getting outrageous that Nintendo Wii and Elmo dolls are short every year? They have the whole year to produce the stupid things yet have a small supply for Christmas? Bull! Its just a marketing tool to make the product seem more hip or cool and inflate prices to maximize profit.

The worst part of this day for me is the people shopping, people in the stores are usually rude, cranky, and pushy. I have seen people in shouting matches and fist fights over the most trival things. People will push, pull, and shove to get what they want.  Parking is a nightmare! The cashiers and other staff in the store are so over worked and look like deer caught in headlights.

No thanks I'll go to the office to work or just stay home.

my truck!  this is what I've been dealing with since Friday, oh, around 12:30 in the afternoon, AT WORK!  yes I was at work when I was hit.

I was waiting to back out (going get lunch), I wasn't  even in the street or ON the street when this guy hit me.  our parking lot is on side of the street so when you back out, you have to look for cars coming down the street. all the cars are parked in a row so you have to back out a little to look for cars coming down the street and when I saw the truck that was coming I stopped to wait for it to pass.  well, when  it passed, it HIT me. to this day I STILL am trying to figure out HOW he hit me!  he had to be SO CLOSE to the curb when he passed in order to hit me.  well, the first thing out his mouth was, and I quote "I didn't see you and I had the right of way!"  to which I responded, "I wasn't even IN the street yet, so why were you SO CLOSE??!!"  he hit me on the side with the broken glass and pushed me into the white truck parked next to me which belonged to the girl who was in the car WITH me.  after that we called the cops and then that's when it hit me, "MY TRUCK IS EFFED UP!"  and I started crying while I called David to tell him about it.  it was still drive-able and the engineers at work clipped off my bumper cuz it was hanging and put it in the back and I drove to the dealer which is right up the road from where I work and I got a rental from enterprise while I was there.  so hopefully, they said they are going to start fixing it tomorrow. the rental I got is a minivan, I hate it!  I miss my truck.  

I forgot to tell you that we BOTH got a ticket…him for speeding and me  for "reasonable vigilence".  I asked the cop what that was for and he said cuz I "may" have been at fault too if I was over the curb sticking out in the street a little bit.  BUT even so, IF that was the case, he STILL should have seen me and NOT been so close to the curb!! and I did have to back up some to see if anyone was coming!!! but I was NOT on the street YET!

Warrant, cocaine lead to job seeker's arrest

JACKSON, Mich. – A mid-Michigan man who'd been looking for work found trouble after an arrest warrant popped up during a background check at a police station. Police also found cocaine in his pocket. The company the man was applying to required a police background check.

The Jackson Citizen Patriot reported that after running the 29-year-old man's name through their computer system Wednesday, police learned he was wanted on a domestic violence charge.

Deputy Police Chief John Holda said that while searching him at the station, an officer found several rocks of cocaine.

The man was being held in the county jail and will be arraigned on the domestic violence charge and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

So I am driving home a few minutes ago, approaching a side street. They have to stop and wait for traffic to clear, right? Right. This PINHEAD suddenly pulls out into traffic, meaning RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! He (or she, couldn't tell, long haired hippies!!!) spewing BLACK smoke out of the tail pipe (and it was NOT a diesel) just to (or so I thought) get into the slight gap I had between me and the car in front of me.

Alright, I thought, perhaps there is a line of cars behind me and they don't wanna get stuck waiting. I checked the rear view, nothing! Not just nothing, but STILL nothing a MILE later when this dweeb pulls into the banks driveway! This person not only could have waited, but they could have gotten out of their car and pushed it there was so NO traffic behind me!!!

I work at a pizza buffet. Keyword-buffet. A customer wanted a discount on her bill because she didn't eat as much as the others in her party! HUH? Should we now weigh food before people eat it and charge by the ounce?

It's a buffet, people! You pay for the privelege of going back for more as much as you like. It's the difference of someone who doesn't eat a lot and only going through once, maybe twice, versus a teenage footballer player who might go through 6 times! MAN, people fascinate me!  lol

How would you like this to happen to your family?  You have a specialty that is needed in another country, go over there to help and want to bring your family with you only to get denied because your child has a "special" medical condition?  I think that this is discrimination.  I am so angry and upset right now from reading this that I want to write a letter to the government there and give them a good piece of my mind, and then send a letter to the family for my condolences.  I know one thing, this country was on my list to visit before I died…well, not no more!

Have, errr, HAD this young employee tell me Saturday that she MIGHT be quiting next week for a job she has been offered since June. The only thing in her way of said job, is her passing a drug test (she claims she knows what will wash the drugs out of her system so she can pass this test) and her age (she is now 17, but will be 18 next month).
Now I told her that IF she ever wants a good reference from this company OR me, she better give her notice in written form at least two weeks ahead, but I would allow her to make it a week if she does so by Monday. She, being 17, did not understand what the 'big deal' was, and then she asked that she was afraid that if she did turn in her notice, and she didn't get the job, she wouldn't be allowed to take her notice back. LOL I congratulated her on feeling the apprehension of being a 'real' adult and told her if she turned in her notice, that showed responsibility and would likely be allowed to cancel her notice. Great right? She agreed to tell me Monday (today) IF she got the job and if I needed to cover her shifts NEXT week. Fine fine fine, just as we discussed. Still with me? Good, because apparently this responsible appearing young lady must have forgotten our discussion:

She MISSED her shift yesterday! Day manager texted her (wow, NEVER thought I would EVER say that as a way to reach someone!) and she texted back that she was up in Sacramento buying a car, had to leave earlier that day and had no time to call in. Then she followed that lame excuse with, 'Sorry, hahaha'.

So now I gotta cover her shifts (luckily there are plenty of people looking for her job, inside and outside the company) but what a FRUITCAKE!!! She thought I was kidding about her reference rating, I am not, I will do everything I can do (legally, of course) to wreck her employment life for at least the rest of this month, after that, I am over it.

Heck, just writing this has gotten me over it, but now I still have to handle the rest of the week with another 'headache' of mine at work. This new kid (kid is 28) started off like gang busters his first two days, but since has shown who he really is, a lazy, dirty, cantankerous (fill in the rest), back-talking (to the supervisors) little BOY! I have made him my personal project, either he re-impresses me or I will have his resignation 'on my desk'! (I always wanted to say that)

'Funny' thing is, of the two guys I hired last month, the one I thought would be the first out is the one that is actually trying the hardest to stay. He NEVER complains about the same thing more than once, he ALWAYS remembers what he was taught, and, other than how slow he is, is ALWAYS 'perfect' in executing his duties. Now if you ever saw him you would swear he was around 50 or 60 years old, but this guy is 43!!! But he is also a recovering alcoholic and his last twenty+ years were working in Arizona and Reno, mostly outside, so mix the sun and the drink, you get twenty plus years added on. His slowness I attribute to what the alcohol may have done to his brain over the years (no police record, but drunks don't need the police to get their heads bashed in, he isn't allowed a DL and he is just about to move out of his Alcohol treatment center home, so he is moving along with his life. Hope he keeps on this track. He is also going to get more hours, he is too slow to open, but he can close and work the mids well.

Anyway, gotta go to work now, got to call a purveyor that shorted my store but were happy to charge us for it! Somebody tell me what the best way to get through CS without getting mad at them, I am mostly sure it isn't their fault, but. . .

Dutch court convicts 2 of stealing virtual items

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands – A Dutch court has convicted two youths of theft for stealing virtual items in a computer game and sentenced them to community service.

Only a handful of such cases have been heard in the world, and they have reached varying conclusions about the legal status of "virtual goods."

The Leeuwarden District Court says the culprits, 15 and 14 years old, coerced a 13-year-old boy into transferring a "virtual amulet and a virtual mask" from the online adventure game RuneScape to their game accounts.

"These virtual goods are goods (under Dutch law), so this is theft," the court said Tuesday in a summary of its ruling.

Identities of the minors were not released.

The 15-year-old was sentenced to 200 hours service, and the 14-year-old to 160 hours.

Idaho Mother Gets 10-Year Sentence After Boyfriend Impregnates 9-Year-Old Daughter

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho —  An eastern Idaho woman whose boyfriend impregnated her 9-year-old daughter has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Isabel Chasarez, 27, must serve at least one year in prison before she is eligible for parole, 7th District Judge Brent Moss ordered Tuesday at the sentencing hearing.

Chasarez pleaded guilty in August to failing to provide proper prenatal care for her daughter.

Her 38-year-old boyfriend, Guadalupe Gutierrez-Juarez, pleaded guilty to rape in September. He is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 28 and faces life in prison.

The girl became pregnant at age 9, sometime between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30 2007, authorities say, and gave birth in April.

Maybe instead of spending the money to fix it they could just apply that money towards the debt itself?

Dear Friends & Family,

I am sending this to quite a few of you to ask for special prayer coverage; Alisa called and left me a message at work just a while ago that she really needs some prayer help. Her ugly divorce continues to drag on and the kids are feeling the brunt of their dad’s tremendous anger and bitterness. He continues convincing them that he has been completely wronged and has not deserved any of this, even though he is unemployed and now homeless and doing jail time (on weekends) for his illegal gun possession conviction. Summer locked Alisa out of the house today and was yelling horrible names at her; there have been other such incidents in the recent past as well. The damage this is doing to Summer and Josh is hard to imagine. Please pray that God will intervene every day in the coming weeks and give Alisa great grace and wisdom in dealing with her children’s anger and confusion. She has continued to report things to the probation office involved and to CPS and has the children in counseling; at some point this has got to get better. I believe there is a court date to conclude the divorce on Sept. 30^th. Thank you so much for your prayers.

15 train robbers killed by poison gas

GUWAHATI, India (Reuters) - At least 15 Indian train robbers looking to steal diesel from a freight carriage died Saturday after inhaling poison gas stored in another tank they accidentally broke open, police said.

A police patrol party said they found 30 other people lying unconscious on both sides of a forested train track in India's Assam state.

"We found many empty drums which they must have brought with them to fill with oil," a local police officer said by phone.

The train was earlier stopped by dozens of armed people who police believe were members of a gang which frequently steals crude oil from trains and pipelines carrying oil to refineries in the oil-rich state.
