9-11***moment of silence

By: WADV in Terrorism - on September 11th, 2008

I want to thank anyone that may visit this site that serves to protect our freedom. I would also like to send my sympathies to anyone who may have lost a loved one on this horrific day.

I still remember waking up and seeing the first plane hit the building. I kept thinking "what a horrible movie this is" only to find out it was live TV. This day is forever burned into my memory and I pray that something like this never happens again.

 LET FREEDOM RING.

GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

Again, why did this take so long???

By: WalterTH3rd in In the News, Politics/Politicians, Left, Right, Terrorism, Politicians, Laws - on July 30th, 2008

Clinton could have done it, Bush part I could have done it, Reagan could have done it, but Bush II DID do it!!!Furious And once again, members of our government on BOTH sides of the aisle took their sweet time about righting a wrong.  All ANY of the previous presidents would have had to do was EXECUTIVE ORDER this to happen or, at the very least, go public about WANTING this to happen and congress would have HAD to support this move, right? But it took all these years for it to happen.Blush For shame.

Dang! I thought he would NEVER change his mind!!!

By: WalterTH3rd in In the News, Politics/Politicians, Left, Right, War in Iraq, Terrorism, Politicians - on July 18th, 2008

WASHINGTON - President Bush and Iraq's prime minister have agreed to set a "general time horizon" for bringing more U.S. troops home from the war, a dramatic shift from the administration's once-ironclad unwillingness to talk about any kind of deadline or timetable.

I’m Ticked Off

By: rkinne01 in Movies, Television, Gay, Entertainment, Music, Politics/Politicians, Left, Right, War in Iraq, Terrorism, Politicians, Laws, Life, Commercials - on March 11th, 2008

We need to get our Priorities Straight…..

Millions of families are losing their homes but instead of giving them a helping hand we're building homes for someone in a country that doesn't even like us.

Soldiers are coming home from the wars injured and yet we can't provide them adequte care. Is it any wonder that recruiters are not filling their enlistment qoutas?

We tell our gay citizens that they can't marry because marriage is sacred, all the while the divorce rate is 50%. Sacred indeed! Call me what you will, but if marriage is so scared how come so many are so quick to divorce? Apparently 50% of the population must have a different understanding of the word sacred than I do.

We've got terrorists whining that we're violating their civil rights but then behead someone on live TV. STOP BEING A TERRORIST AND MAYBE YOU WOULDN'T BE TORTURED! Oh and by the way you're not American citizens, you don't deserve the rights our forefathers fought so hard to bring us! Do us a favor, take that machette you use to behead others, place the sharp edge along your throat, and fall! Your 40 virgins are waiting for you, and they're honry!

This to those who think that the terrorists should have rights, tell it to the Pearl family or to any other family who's loved ones were butchered by these freaks. Just think someday it could be your baby girl on TV minus her head.

We're giving illegal immigrants access to Social Security without them having put one red cent into it, but someone who has paid into it is rejected? I wish I could opt out and invest the money for myself, but I'm sure the government would find a way to punish us for it…..wait they already do with taxes.

Why can't we make these jerk offs in Washington pass a bill saying they can't hide one bill in another? Example: You can't sneak in a proposal for a bridge to nowhere with a bill about highway improvement. Enough of the back door politics.

To consevatives, liberals, republicans, and democarts: Stay the hell outta my home and business! I can decide my own my morals, I don't want a group of people who aren't morally correct themselves telling me what to do. My regards to whatever hooker you've picked up for tonight Mr. Congressman, enjoy!

I'm tired of you lazy parents who think it should be the job of the government to censor whatever it is you don't like on TV, on the radio, or on the internet! How about doing it yourself? Turn on the VChip on the TV, take the TV or computer outta their bedroom, and be aware of the ratings on games/movies/DVD's. If you don't want your kids watching shows like Dexter then change the channel to the Disney channel. Don't like Howard Stern? Turn the radio off! Take few minutes to learn about setting up filters to prevent the kids from surfing porn, its easy. Not everything is meant for childrens eyes, take some responsibility for your kids or tick off the Pope by using birth control.

Thought for sure TGIX would have posted this first. . .

By: WalterTH3rd in In the News, Politics/Politicians, Left, Right, Terrorism, Politicians, Laws - on February 12th, 2008

Looks like BOTH parties WANT the phone companies to be PROTECTED when they give 'private' info to the Feds. I wonder why this has 'suddenly' happened?

Oh, THAT'S right, NO politician wants to give BACK powers they had previously, never know when it might come in handy down the road!Furious

Stupid arsed comments from the media, ALL politicians, and BIN LADIN!

By: WalterTH3rd in In the News, Politics/Politicians, War in Iraq, Terrorism, Politicians - on December 29th, 2007

No really, I don't care WHO they claim to represent, I cannot STAND politicians here or ANYWHERE! It doesn't matter if they are from the US, from Argentina, Columbia, the EU, or Pakistan! They ALL are saying the SAME CRAP with slightly different emphasis here and there.Furious

What are we, STUPID? Anyway, just had to get that off of my chest. Now I am going back to make lunch and prepare to watch the Patriots go undefeated. Not that I LIKE them, but how many times will something like this happen in a lifetime? Well, alright, I know it has already happened before, but I wasn't in a position to CARE about football back then, now I am.Cool

I am SOO scared! Why doesn’t the GOVERNMENT do something?!?!?!

By: WalterTH3rd in In the News, Politics/Politicians, Left, Right, Global Warming, Terrorism, Politicians, Laws, Life - on December 8th, 2007

No really, in the 80s I was scared of nuclear war, thanks to a certain, badly written movie about nuclear war and surving it in the mid-west (lot o' nightmares from that one!), in the 90s I was frightened of GANGS and DRUGS! Thank you Clinton for shipping the gangs OUT of LA and INTO MY county and town (BTW, all that happened was instead of LESS gangs, MORE were created where there was NONE before!). And now here we are in the '00s! We 'survived' the computer viruses from the end of the century (remember that? Not ONE plane dropped out of the sky when the year rolled over, did it?), And of course, 9/11 was also a big fear event (although, didn't this same group try to blow up the WTC earlier? Didn't work so much then, but we didn't go to war with anyone over it either (and STILL never caught the guy that masterminded THAT one either).Guns

Now, I hear the Globe is going to overheat! The waters will boil away, the air will become unbreathable to humans, etc. AND, as if that wasn't enough to be scared of; SOME MEDICINES COULD CAUSE DEATH!Surprised

AND EVERY political group PROMISES a change, but so far NOT ONCE HAS THIS CHANGE HAPPENED! NOT ONE TIME!Furious

But wait, it goes on - apparently workiing GRAVEYARD SHIFTS can cause CANCER!!!! UUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!! When will it EVER end? Who do I have to go 'POSTAL' on to STOP this FEAR MONGERING, mongering that has been going on FOREVER!!!

something I’ve been thinking about…

By: Dawn in Politics/Politicians, Left, Right, War in Iraq, Terrorism, Life - on November 16th, 2007

Since I've been coming here and chatting, I've found out a LOT more about politics than I ever thought I'd know OR cared to know.  But I was wondering why it seems to me that MOST of the people in the military are republicans.  is it just me??  I wonder why?  I can't imagine ANYONE WANTS to be overseas and fighting no matter what party they are a part of.  Sorry to get all political on you but I don't talk much about it so when the subject arises, I question it.  I know you guys will have a LOT to say about it.

latest drama from Osama

By: Dawn in In the News, War in Iraq, Terrorism, Religion - on September 12th, 2007

I just looked at this video, I heard he made a new video for us and I saw it and decided to pass it along to you guys. It’s a lot of info to take in, what he’s saying, but to me, he makes himself sound like a saint and that the war was NOT his choice and that all we want to do is kill and God (Allah) doesn’t want it that way and we should stop but we are a capitalist society and it’s all about the money and that when people go against society (war) they get killed for it and he cited that Kennedy wanted to end the Vietnam war and was assassinated for it…and it goes on.
I wanted to check it out for myself to see what he was talking about. Here it is:

By: AKsnowbunnie in People Who Are..., Bossy, Politics/Politicians, Terrorism, Life, Religion - on July 23rd, 2007

I was trying to reply to the post a few down… Anywho make sure you all read this book - Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali

http://www.ama zon.ca/Infidel-Ayaan-Hirsi-Ali/dp/0743289684

Good read, and it’ll open your eyes to the TRUE muslim religion - there are no non-extremists. She’s had an amazing life, and it’s a great book. Here’s more info on her:

WTF!!!!! Give ‘em hell Wafa

By: calted2 in Terrorism - on July 23rd, 2007

WATCH THIS BEFORE IT’S TAKEN OFF THE WEB!!
‘One impressive woman. Here is a powerful and amazing statement on Al Jazeera television.

‘The woman is Wafa Sultan, an Arab-American psychologist from Los Angeles . I would suggest watching it ASAP because I don’t know how long the ‘link will be active. This film clip should be shown around the world repeatedly!’CLICK BELOW
I thought I would edit this and retitle it starting with “WTF” cause posts that begin with WTF seem to stimulate more interest. (In this group anyway).

Bush threatens our safety once again for his own personal gain.

By: TGIX in Politics/Politicians, Terrorism - on July 17th, 2007

There is simply no other way to interpret it. Once more, Bush plays “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” to divert attention, this time afraid of congress getting too much attention in their attempt this evening to end the disastrous war in Iraq. There will be a fillibuster overnight and Bush just can’t stand that so he endangers all of our safety, as he has done so many times before, by claiming that the national safety alert level must be raised.

A) It’s dangerous as hell to cry wolf. If you are the only person on Earth who hasn’t heard the story, I’m sure you can find “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” in ANY public library and at your fingertips right now online.

B) Bush has not been right once yet in dozens of identical ploys that are designed to scare us out of being aware of, or caring about, attempts to stop his insane war.

C) Every day, more and more of Bush’s own republican supporters are now publicly questioning his mental/emotional stability. This is no longer partisan politics. The man is a raging maniac. You KNOW that when his own supporters, who have always followed him to the gates of hell, refuse to step in. They’ve thrown their own grandmothers in but they refuse to follow anymore. That is something I never thought I’d live to see.

D) The war drones on killing more and more of our soldiers and more innocent Iraqis along with some “insurgents” (which is just a euphemism for resisters. If another country attacked us, unprovoked, the LAST thing we would call our resisters is “insurgents”). Propaganda kills when it fools anyone into continuing the insane war.

E) Stress Kills! Bush unnecessarily subjects us all to extra stress. Stress is the #1 killer in our country already. Bush is killing us, quite literally, here at home in our own country with his lies.

F) Don’t like this because it’s “politics”, don’t read it then, the post is properly categorized and you have the controls to skip over it. To complain that it’s “politics” or “more of the same” is to be foolish and allow a mad man to continue to kill innocent American citizens both here and abroad so that he and Cheney can profit off of no-bid Halliburton contracts worth billions and billions of our tax dollars. It is beyond sinful. It is beyond wreckless. It is a crime against humanity and one that should be discussed and acted upon until the Bush blood bath is finally stopped.

‘Modern Terrorists’?

By: WalterTH3rd in OT: Not Necessarily a Pet Peeve, In the News, Terrorism - on July 1st, 2007

After their military defeat by regular forces, the occupied population produced terrorists who engaged in bombings, sniping, poisonings, and other attacks on occupation forces and on the civilian population. They operated as irregulars in small terror units, armed with automatic weapons and bazookas.

Women and minors as young as eight participated in the terror attacks. They attempted to build weapons of mass destruction, using chemical poisons. They assassinated officials of the occupation regime. They had a special obsession with torturing and murdering “collaborators.” They murdered hundreds of civilians, while thousands of the terrorists themselves were killed by the occupation armed forces. The occupiers responded to terror with brutality and force, sometimes using collective punishment.

The above does notrefer to or describe the anti-American and anti-British terror in Iraq and Afghanistan. Nor does it describe Palestinian terrorism against Israel launched from the West Bank and Gaza.

The complete story/opinion can be read here ->  http://www.jewishpress.com/page.do/21967/The_Anti-Terror_Campaign_T hat_Succeeded.html
