well, today I get a letter in the mail saying that my claim was denied and that the asshole that hit me was NOT at fault!!!???  and now MY insurance has to not only pay for my damages BUT HIS TOO!!??

but that's only the beginning, I have now found out that the policeman LIED to me that day.  wow, can you believe it?  I was told that the other driver was getting a speeding ticket ALONG with the ticket he was giving me for "reasonable vigilance".  he told me he was giving him a ticket for speeding when I asked him what the hell reasonable vigilance meant while I signed my ticket.  and not only did the other guy NOT get a ticket, he made it seem like I was backing out on the street when he hit me!  I was NOT moving and was STILL on the parking lot, not even off the CURB when he hit me and the first thing out his mouth was, "I didn't see you"  but that's NOT what the police report says.  of course, HE says that he "observed me backing out from a private lot onto the street and he was unable to avoid the movement of my truck and hit me…!!!???"  WTF??!!  I SAW HIS ASS A HALF A BLOCK AWAY BEFORE HE HIT ME.  THAT'S WHY I WAS WAITING TO BACK OUT ON THE STREET!!!  NOW HE MAKES IT SEEM LIKE I WAS BACKING OUT AND NOT LOOKING AND CAME OUT ON THE ROAD IN FRONT OF HIM!  IF THAT WAS SO, THEN WHY WAS I STILL ON THE CURB, STILL ON THE PARKING LOT!!??  I don't know how clear this will be for you to see but this is a copy of what was on the report.

and oh, yeah, my insurance will probably be paying for my co-worker's truck too since I was PUSHED into her truck when he hit me and I dented her truck!! 

this whole thing was twisted and turned around and makes me look like I did something wrong and makes me look like the bad driver in this whole mess and I was so pissed to the point of tears because it's so UNFAIR!  I looked when I backed up.  you have to back up a little bit in order to see around the cars parked on both sides to see what's coming.  I did that and stopped when I saw that that asshole was coming half a block away.  what kind of stupid would I be to keep backing out when someone was coming??  and how do you hit someone who's not even in the street???

and I go to court on jan 14 for my ticket.  so if I win, then does my insurance still pay??  this is a mess!

my truck!  this is what I've been dealing with since Friday, oh, around 12:30 in the afternoon, AT WORK!  yes I was at work when I was hit.

I was waiting to back out (going get lunch), I wasn't  even in the street or ON the street when this guy hit me.  our parking lot is on side of the street so when you back out, you have to look for cars coming down the street. all the cars are parked in a row so you have to back out a little to look for cars coming down the street and when I saw the truck that was coming I stopped to wait for it to pass.  well, when  it passed, it HIT me. to this day I STILL am trying to figure out HOW he hit me!  he had to be SO CLOSE to the curb when he passed in order to hit me.  well, the first thing out his mouth was, and I quote "I didn't see you and I had the right of way!"  to which I responded, "I wasn't even IN the street yet, so why were you SO CLOSE??!!"  he hit me on the side with the broken glass and pushed me into the white truck parked next to me which belonged to the girl who was in the car WITH me.  after that we called the cops and then that's when it hit me, "MY TRUCK IS EFFED UP!"  and I started crying while I called David to tell him about it.  it was still drive-able and the engineers at work clipped off my bumper cuz it was hanging and put it in the back and I drove to the dealer which is right up the road from where I work and I got a rental from enterprise while I was there.  so hopefully, they said they are going to start fixing it tomorrow. the rental I got is a minivan, I hate it!  I miss my truck.  

I forgot to tell you that we BOTH got a ticket…him for speeding and me  for "reasonable vigilence".  I asked the cop what that was for and he said cuz I "may" have been at fault too if I was over the curb sticking out in the street a little bit.  BUT even so, IF that was the case, he STILL should have seen me and NOT been so close to the curb!! and I did have to back up some to see if anyone was coming!!! but I was NOT on the street YET!

So I am driving home a few minutes ago, approaching a side street. They have to stop and wait for traffic to clear, right? Right. This PINHEAD suddenly pulls out into traffic, meaning RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! He (or she, couldn't tell, long haired hippies!!!) spewing BLACK smoke out of the tail pipe (and it was NOT a diesel) just to (or so I thought) get into the slight gap I had between me and the car in front of me.

Alright, I thought, perhaps there is a line of cars behind me and they don't wanna get stuck waiting. I checked the rear view, nothing! Not just nothing, but STILL nothing a MILE later when this dweeb pulls into the banks driveway! This person not only could have waited, but they could have gotten out of their car and pushed it there was so NO traffic behind me!!!

However, I have even MORE 'proof' that the dang RACISTS of California ARE based in LOS ANGELES!!!!

And tell me, knowing this, would YOU want to go down there to visit home, ever?!?!?!?!

my street was BLOCKED!!!

I went to get donuts this morn and when I came back home I couldn't even DRIVE down my street to park in my driveway!  2 cop cars were all in the middle and I had to drive up on the front LAWN of the neighbor's house to get in my driveway.  I live on a dead end street.  so there is no other way onto my street. and then when I got out the truck, I see the cops coming out the house across the street LAUGHING!!!  WTF!!??  couldn't have been too urgent so why couldn't they have just pulled to the side of the street?

THEN when I was leaving out to go to DJ's game, a big truck was blocking the EXIT of my street, stopped in front the manhole in the ground doing something!!!!  I was already rushing and then THIS!!!  THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY IN OR OUT MY STREET, WHY DO THEY DO THIS!!??  so I had to roll up on the curb AGAIN to LEAVE!!!!

I know I said I wouldn't be back until after Thanksgiving, but I just HAVE to get some **** off my chest!! After this post I'm going to go back to not coming here until then. But this site IS called pet peeves, and BOY OH BOY am I just aggravated.

Right now I'm wishing McCain never picked Palin, because now we have news people EVERYWHERE. Gretta Van Susteren is even up here. I hate that woman, and now she's in my city! Tourist season ended last week, but the number of people in town has NOT gone down as it normally does, all these reporters flew up here and took their place. GO AWAY REPORTERS!! You can report about Palin from the lower 48, you don't have to come up here and clog up my streets! Just yesterday I was driving home and I thought to myself "Damn, nobody knows how to drive, but it's not snowing yet" - and then after that I found out about all these reporters. They're making life HELL in terms of driving around town.

As for Obama, I'm SUPER pissed off at him right now. Why in Gods name did he send 30 "lawyers" (or as normal people would call them, investigators) to Alaska to dig up dirt on her? I don't want these people up here, and the only thing they're doing is pissing off the people that live up here! I have seen more and more people that weren't going to vote for McCain decide to vote for him based on Obama doing the smear campaign. And seriously O-man, GET SOME FACTS!! You see MOST of the people that live up here have personally gotten to know Sarah, have PERSONALLY spent time with her. You can't tell us a lie and think we'll believe it, we PERSONALLY know otherwise! 

It's pathetic. I guess it goes to show they really don't have a fight against her though, if they did they'd stop trying to attack her personal life. I guess when you're that good, people have no choice but to make up lies and call you a pig with lipstick (by the way, thanks for giving us up here something to laugh about, we really do love that one!).

I can't wait for this election to be over. I can't wait for these F'ing reporters to go back to the lower 48. I'm going to go piss Gretta off tonight, I'm going to go stand behind the camera guy and everytime she talks I'm going to just yell at her. Nothing rude either, just be loud enough to piss her off. She had on her heavy down winter coat too!! Us locals are still wearing T-shirts out, and she's got on a winter coat!!!

GO HOME REPORTERS!!!! We finally got rid of the tourists, we don't have long until the snow starts to fall, so PLEASE give us our few weeks of easy driving on the roads!! If ya'll don't leave soon, I'm filling my vehicle with drunk natives and paying them to do what it takes to make you leave!!

guess who!!??  the Suburban extended stay hotel in Tallahassee FL is great and has a computer for the guests to use for 15min at a time!! and pet friendly too!  just checking in, and I see Mandy updated yall already as to what's happened so far, so by this time tomorrow, I'll know if I'll have a home to come home to.  I was really sad when I left, everyone was rushing me to hurry up and leave, BUT I, ME, I was the only one out of all the other members of David's family who had to try and pack up and salvage a WHOLE HOUSE from floodwaters!!!  but I appreciate all the calls from you guys and thoughts of good luck, I'll check back in tomorrow!!!  XOXOX

OOHHHH LORDY!!!  I was SO NOT ready but I can't deny it anymore!

David and I have been trying to decide what to do AND where to go, but we just don't know where to go YET til about Sunday.  we are going to put all the things we aren't bringing with us in the attic, since that was the only "safe" spot last time.  I just hope that we DON'T flood again.  I don't mind the hurricanes and bad weather, I just don't want water in my house.  and even though this computer ISN'T a laptop, I'M BRINGING IT!!  I lost too much last time to make the same mistakes again.  so I'll hopefully still be able to keep in touch with ya'll.  I'll email you guys my cell # so you can text or call me.  I'll let you know my plans as we figure them out.

Every morning I drive to work when I get into town I have to make a right turn. The road is a 4 lane road. 2 lanes each way. Anyway when I get close to the stop light and put my turn signal on some asshole passes me get's into my lane and decides to go straight instead of staying in the other lane which he can go straight also. So now when the light is red I have to wait for that light to turn green before I can go.

Just because some asshole thinks he has to be in the right lane when he doesn't. Even if he stayed behind me he still could go straight at the light when it turns green because I will have already turned. Stupid drivers.

A preschooler put his little brother in a car, got it turned around and headed off to his grandmother's house. WKYT-TV reported the trip didn't go well, but no one got hurt.

Lincoln County Sheriff Curt Folger said the 4-year-old boy began his journey when his mother and her boyfriend were asleep on Saturday. He got the seat adjusted and the car started and turned around, but he ran through a fence and into some trees.

The sheriff said the boyfriend was arrested after he got to the car and made a threatening gesture toward either the boy or the deputy who was investigating. He was charged with menacing. The boys' mother was reported to child protective services.

I have just gotten back from errands and I now know how I will die….FROM SOMEONE PLAYING WITH THEIR PHONE WHILE TRYING TO DRIVE AND THEY WILL KILL ME!!! it almost just happened. a 3 lane road near my home, I was in the middle and the right lane ends and you HAVE to merge into the middle lane! well this asshole is riding right NEXT to me (which I also HATE) and his lane is ending BUT he's NOT slowing down OR speeding up, so what do you think happens…HE STARTS TO COME OVER ON ME AS THE LANE ENDS!!!! you know when the lane ends that's NOT an automatic merge!!! you have to slow down and get over safely!!!! so I blew my horn at him and he looked at me like I was CRAZY and when I saw him, in his hand was a phone, not talking in it but prob texting with it!! and when my turn for my street came and he passed me, he blew at me, like that was supposed to hurt me??

Seriously, the saddest part in all this is that I don't think he even knows what he did…

Let me walk you through my day so far (it's only 10am). I wouldn't say I was running behind, it was only 5 minutes later then usual, and I'm typically at work 15-20 minutes early every day. Today NOBODY wanted to drive!! For some reason at every light people felt the need to NOT accelerate when it turned green, and apparently I missed the bulletin that today is "Drive 15 mph under the speed limit" day. If there is one thing that REALLY irks me when I'm driving it's people that can't reach the speed limit. Seriously, if you can't drive 45 in a 45 then GET THE HELL OFF THE ROAD! They should put sensors on cars so that when they aren't driving the speed limit (when there is no reason to be going slower) it should just shut their car off. These people shouldn't be allowed on the road. Granted I am not running late, but if I can't get around these people I sure will be!! 

So I posted my old car on Craigslist again - still haven't had a serious buyer. Everyone says "Oh Subaru's will sell fast" but nobody even wants to look at it. I post it again, and get an email from a guy that asks me if it's an automatic or 5 speed. I sent him a simple one line response "As the AD states, this car is an automatic"…. don't people read? If you are REALLY interested in this vehicle, wouldn't you READ what is already posted on the site before contacting the seller? So he wasted my time, and then emails me back to say he was looking for a 5 speed. LIKE I CARE? As all this was going on I got a phone call from a friend that is in desperate need of a vehicle, so I told him I'd sell him mine dirt cheap just to get it out of the driveway. I haven't decided for sure if I will buy my Mac just yet or wait a few months.

And last but not least - I'm at work at the dispatcher here is just out of hand. Everyone knows it, and everyone tells me about it (even though I can't do anything). I tell them to tell the boss, but they don't. I think they just like venting to me. I saw her pull the ultimate RUDE thing though, she was walking towards a tech who was on the phone with a customer and she just started blabbing away LOUDLY to him. My mom taught me when I was VERY young that you NEVER interrupt someone on the phone - if it's important you can get their attention but NEVER talk off topic to them. Let alone at the volume level she was, and plus it had nothing to do with what he was on the phone about. It was some bull**** about a schedule. This dispatcher is the one that was not eating trying to lose weight to impress her ex, so I wouldn't expect any differently from her.

it may have been a little harsh for the kids, BUT maybe that's what they needed to make them realize the seriousness of the situation!

  How about we pressure our elected officials to initiate a law requiring law enforcement to accept, rreview and act upon any photo and/or video submitted to them; which we, public observers, have recorded with privately owned 'dash cams'  of any observed driving infraction.  {if you can't drive and chew gum, don't try operating a 'dash camera' either} I do believe that capturing errant drivers 'in the act' would be benificial, in helping to get them off the road.  Might start up new 'action TV' shows, so we don't have to watch the same old stale reruns. What say you?

I was just dropping the kids off to summer camp this morn and as I was leavin, I got stuck behind a dump truck. my question is WHY do they drive SO FRICKIN SLOW ALL THE TIME???? I know they can't or shouldn't drive too fast but THIS idiot was going like 10-15 mph!!! that's slower than a school zone!!! I couldn't pass him cuz it was on a one lane residential street! GAH!!!!

next one: I was in Winn Dixie yesterday, which I HATE going to (grocery stores in general) and I know we've talked about this before but it is STILL SO AGGRAVATING, but people who are shopping around you just tend to leave their baskets ANYWHERE!!! I mean, HELLOOOO, others are shopping too. the other thing they do is leave the basket in the middle of the aisle while they're looking at something somewhere else on the aisle! When I shop I pull my basket all the way to the side WITH ME where I am and NOT BLOCK others. so I'm walking around saying "excuse me, pardon me…!!!!" cuz I CAN'T MOVE!! DOUBLE GAH!!!!!

This is a nightmare.

Now this is just AVERAGE for the entire state. Right now in town we're up to $3.90, and I hear out in the villages they're up past $5.00.

When are we going to open ANWAR??? I also think we should have some refineries up here too! I mean it's a total waste to get the oil from here, ship it to the lower 48, turn it into gas, then ship it back. I think it would lower our prices, and maybe some of yours, if we had a refinery up here to do the work. Then it wouldn't be shipped as far!
