NEW PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION

This is probably the best e-mail I've seen in a long, long time. The following has been attributed to State Representative Mitchell Kaye from GA.  This guy should run for President one day…

'We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to

help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, and delusional.  We hold these

truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights.'

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth.  More power to you if you can  legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended.  This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone –not just you!   You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm.  If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.  This one is my pet peeve…get an education and go to work…don't expect everyone else to take care of you!

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care.  That would be nice, but if it would turn out the same way as current public housing, we're not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people.  If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you put away for the rest of your sorry life.

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job.  All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful. (AMEN!)

ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness.  Being an America means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who  were confused by the Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country.  We don't care where you are from, English is our language.  Learn it or go back to wherever you came from!

(and last but not least….)

ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage.  This country was founded on the belief in one God.  You are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all, with no fear of persecution.  The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!

If you agree, share this with a friend.

No, you don't have to, and nothing tragic will befall you if you don't.

I just think it's about time common sense is allowed to flourish.

Sensible people of the United States , speak out, because if you do not, who will?

I don’t often “shotgun emails out, but this is too good not to…if you’ve seen it, I apologize…

By: WalterTH3rd in In the News, Left, Right, Politicians, OT: Jokes, Financial - on September 25th, 2008

Hi Y'all,

I'm against the $85,000,000, 000.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000, 000 to America in

a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000

bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman

and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a

We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it woul d NOT be tax-free.

So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.

That sends $25,500,000, 000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife has $595,000 .00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college - it'll be there

Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car - create jobs

Invest in the market - capital drives growth

Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks

who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company

that is cutting back. And of cou rse, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it…instead of trickling out

a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.

If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG - liquidate it.

Sell off its parts.

Let American General go back to being American General.

Sell off the real estate.

Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.

Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion

We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC .

And remember, The Family plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because
$25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh…I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

Kindest personal regards,

A Creative Guy & Citizen of the Republic.

This is a JOKE!!!!

By: WalterTH3rd in Politics/Politicians, Left, Right, Politicians, OT: Jokes - on August 15th, 2008

Now this is just Minnesota funny.

The Presidential election was too close to call. Neither the Republican candidate nor the Democratic candidate had enough votes to win.. There was much talk about ballot recounting, court challenges, etc., but a week-long ice fishing competition seemed the sportsmanlike way to settle things. The candidate that caught the most fish at the end of the week would win the election.

Therefore, it was decided that there should be an ice fishing contest between the two candidates to determine the winner.

After much of back and forth discussion, it was decided that the contest take place on a remote frozen lake in northern Minnesota.

There were to be no observers present, and both men were to be sent out separately on this isolated lake and return at 5 P.M. with their catch for counting and verification by a team of neutral parties. At the end of the first day, John Mc. returned to the starting line and he had ten fish.

Soon, Obama returned and had no fish. Well, everyone assumed he was just having another 'bad hair' day or something and hopefully, he would catch up the next day.

At the end of the 2nd day John Mc. came in with 20 fish and Obama came in again with none.

That evening, Harry Reid got together secretly with Obama and said, 'Obama, I think John Mc. is a low-life, cheatin' son-of-a-gun. I want you to go out tomorrow and don't even bother with fishing. Just spy on him and see just how he is cheating.'

The next night (after John Mc. returns with 50 fish),Harry said to Obama, 'Well, tell me, how is John Mc. cheating?'

Obama replied, 'Harry, you're not going to believe this, but he's cutting holes in the ice.Foot in
mouth

WARNING…political rant…

By: WADV in People Who Are..., Politics/Politicians, Left, Politicians, Stupid, Automobile - on August 5th, 2008

Ok…..there are those who don't beleive we should drill off our coasts. There are other nations doing it off our coasts right now.  We would be safer than them. They don't care if they spill and screw up our coast.

But lets forget about that. Ok, lets say we forget about drilling and ONLY look for the "other". Ok, some egghead figures something out. Now ALL our vehicles (forget that tires are made of oil) are now obsolete. Now what? Only the rich will be able to get their new vehicles, what about the poor? Oh wait the Democrats can make ANOTHER welfare program to help them out. Furthering their afgenda of two classes of people (although they say they want one class). They have the leaders (them) and the poor/ the followers. We can gratefully take the handouts they think we deserve. Now what about all our oil dependant vehicles? What do we do with them??? Talk about an environmental hazzard. I can see the HUGE junk yards now. Plus without oil, they will need to find a new way to make tires.

Ya, the alternative fuel is the ONLY thing we should be researching!!!

Just a thought. . .

By: WalterTH3rd in Politics/Politicians, Left, Right, Global Warming, Politicians, Oil & Gas - on July 18th, 2008

Some say that we need to stop adding to the global warming by ceasing the use of gas powered engines and stop using coal for energy. I say ‘sure’ we should all do this, in fact, to start I say that first those that have said this should lead the way my turning their automobiles over to a junkyard or at least, the ENGINES that use that type of ‘bad’ power sources. You can’t say, ‘well, I only use MY car to drive a mile or so, I ride a bike otherwise. That is the same as telling a VEGAN that while you support not using animals for food, you do so by ‘only’ eating that burger once in awhile! IT IS THE SAME HYPOCRACY! Either you go all in or you stop complaining that people aren’t doing it! I told a person working at Whole Foods that I only eat meat sometimes; they told me I was STILL part of the problem until I quit eating meat COMPLETELY! I agree, until I stop eating meat, no matter how little it is, I am supporting the slaughter of ALL animals for food, as long as I drive a car, no matter how little I drive it, as long as it is using gasoline, I am part of the problem. Until I stop BEING part of the problem, I actually have no right to tell or expect others to ‘do as I SAY do and not as I DO!

Comments? I am mostly sure I am looking at ONE person in particular, but I bet he or she (not naming names here) will respond other than to say how our president is as bad as it gets, but not actually taking the blame for his (or hers, still not naming names) is really doing by driving that car around Baltimore (or wherever he or she lives and works).

That is ‘all’.

Worse than Appalachia Valley Congressional District ranks Last Nationwide on Study's Scorecard of Well-being.

WASHINGTON — Poverty, poor health and low graduation rates have put the San Joaquin Valley's 20th Congressional District dead last in a new national scorecard that ranks the well-being of residents.

Even notoriously grim Appalachia fares better than the congressional district that sweeps in Fresno, Kings and Kern counties, the study made public Wednesday shows. The assessment of health, education and income ranks the district 436th out of 436 districts nationwide.

"We have significant issues in the Valley that reflect rural inequality," said Adela de la Torre, a University of California at Davis professor and adviser for the study. "The Valley has always been an area that's underserved."
The study, "The Measure of America," applies to the United States — for the first time — a so-called "human development" standard previously used to evaluate developing countries from Afghanistan to Zambia. The domestic results are sobering.

For instance, only 6.5% of the 20th Congressional District's adults have graduated from college. In the top-ranked New York City district, 62.6% of adult residents claim a college degree.

Only half of the Valley district's households have annual incomes above $16,767. In the New York City district, half claim incomes above $51,139. Most poignantly, the residents of Manhattan's Upper East Side live, on average, 41/2 years longer than residents of the Valley district.

"These two districts are very, very far apart in human development," study co-author Kristen Lewis noted.

The San Joaquin Valley's manifold woes have been previously identified in studies by everyone from Modesto's Great Valley Center to the Congressional Research Service. This latest 246-page study provides a somewhat different lens.

The study was funded by Oxfam America, the Rockefeller Foundation and other nonprofit groups. The authors, affiliated with the nonpartisan Social Science Research Council and Columbia University Press, tallied health, education and income statistics. They called their "human development index" a measure of "three basic building blocks" of a good life.

"We have difficult challenges, there is no doubt," acknowledged Rep. Jim Costa, the Fresno Democrat who has represented the 20th Congressional District since 2005.

Costa, echoing de la Torre, stressed that "we lag in terms of dollars spent in the Valley, compared to other parts of the United States."

The nonpartisan Congressional Research Service likewise noted in a December 2005 report requested by Costa and other Valley lawmakers that the region "received fewer federal funds" than other parts of California or the United States overall.

At the same time, Costa stressed that "we've seen improvements" in areas like unemployment, and he predicted further improvements could result after developments like the opening of a proposed new University of California medical school in Merced

"Manhattan's Upper East Side is obviously going to have higher income and more people with advanced degrees," Costa added. "But this does not mean that a farmer who did not go to college is worse off than anyone else."

By explicitly ranking all 435 congressional districts, in addition to the District of Columbia, the authors put individual lawmakers on the spot.

This has tactical implications, as the new report includes an "eight-point human development agenda" whose tenets range from boosting incomes and increasing paid maternal leave to making health care affordable for all Americans.

"It could not come at a better time," said Raymond Offenheiser, president of Oxfam International. "We are in the midst of an electrifying election when voters are hungry for change."

Four congressional districts share portions of Fresno County, and other San Joaquin Valley counties likewise struggle with persistently low incomes and high dropout rates.

The 21st Congressional District represented by Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Visalia, ranked 378th, the 19th Congressional District represented by Rep. George Radanovich, R-Mariposa, ranked 235th, and the 18th Congressional District represented by Rep. Dennis Cardoza, D-Merced, ranked 403rd on the new score card.

Higher income and better school performance go hand in hand. But researchers noted that the wealthy and well-schooled do not necessarily live significantly longer.

California, overall, ranks 11th on the scorecard, which puts wealthy Connecticut in the top spot. Residents of last-place Mississippi can expect to live six years less than the average resident of either California or Connecticut, the study shows.

The reporter can be reached at mdoyle@mcclatchydc.com or (202) 383-0006.

Speak English..Damn it!

By: rkinne01 in Work Peeves, Politics/Politicians, Left, Politicians, Customer Service, Food, Workplace - on March 20th, 2008

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/2371595 4/

Thank god this guy won.  What is so wrong with telling someone if you want good service in here you should be able to speak English?

The people who don't like this business owner's policy can go eat somewhere else. You see, we live in a capitalist society, this means that so long as you have money you can frequent whatever business you like! The businesses that make money stay open, the ones that don't accomdoate the needs of the public will go belly up. Simple economics, right?

Whatever happened to the immigrants that used to come to this country? It used to be that when a family came from another country they wanted to adapt to American customs, now we're supposed to adapt to them.  Does anyone else see the flaw in that twisted logic?  We have precious little culture here, compared to other countries, then we have to give that up for some other country? BullSh&t I say!

I am not bashing immgrants, they are part of what has made America great, but we have to dry a line somewhere. I do think we need ONE national language that you must learn before you get citizenship along with all the other requirements that go along with it.

Anyone who says that citizens of most other countries speak more than one language are full of it!  Japan's English speaking people tend to be rich businessmen, go to the streets and you'll find most people do not soeak English. It is pretty much the same in every nation you go to. Arabs want us to revere their culture? They wouldn't do the same for us, go Saudi Arabia and tell the Royal Family that they had better respect your culture, they'd throw your carcass in the desert for the wildlife to pick at.

In closing, this is our home and we have every right to demand respect from those who enter it. If these people can't or won't adapt to our home then it's time to send them home. The political correctness crap needs to come to end, I think we can all agree on that.

I’m Ticked Off

By: rkinne01 in Movies, Television, Gay, Entertainment, Music, Politics/Politicians, Left, Right, War in Iraq, Terrorism, Politicians, Laws, Life, Commercials - on March 11th, 2008

We need to get our Priorities Straight…..

Millions of families are losing their homes but instead of giving them a helping hand we're building homes for someone in a country that doesn't even like us.

Soldiers are coming home from the wars injured and yet we can't provide them adequte care. Is it any wonder that recruiters are not filling their enlistment qoutas?

We tell our gay citizens that they can't marry because marriage is sacred, all the while the divorce rate is 50%. Sacred indeed! Call me what you will, but if marriage is so scared how come so many are so quick to divorce? Apparently 50% of the population must have a different understanding of the word sacred than I do.

We've got terrorists whining that we're violating their civil rights but then behead someone on live TV. STOP BEING A TERRORIST AND MAYBE YOU WOULDN'T BE TORTURED! Oh and by the way you're not American citizens, you don't deserve the rights our forefathers fought so hard to bring us! Do us a favor, take that machette you use to behead others, place the sharp edge along your throat, and fall! Your 40 virgins are waiting for you, and they're honry!

This to those who think that the terrorists should have rights, tell it to the Pearl family or to any other family who's loved ones were butchered by these freaks. Just think someday it could be your baby girl on TV minus her head.

We're giving illegal immigrants access to Social Security without them having put one red cent into it, but someone who has paid into it is rejected? I wish I could opt out and invest the money for myself, but I'm sure the government would find a way to punish us for it…..wait they already do with taxes.

Why can't we make these jerk offs in Washington pass a bill saying they can't hide one bill in another? Example: You can't sneak in a proposal for a bridge to nowhere with a bill about highway improvement. Enough of the back door politics.

To consevatives, liberals, republicans, and democarts: Stay the hell outta my home and business! I can decide my own my morals, I don't want a group of people who aren't morally correct themselves telling me what to do. My regards to whatever hooker you've picked up for tonight Mr. Congressman, enjoy!

I'm tired of you lazy parents who think it should be the job of the government to censor whatever it is you don't like on TV, on the radio, or on the internet! How about doing it yourself? Turn on the VChip on the TV, take the TV or computer outta their bedroom, and be aware of the ratings on games/movies/DVD's. If you don't want your kids watching shows like Dexter then change the channel to the Disney channel. Don't like Howard Stern? Turn the radio off!
