Abstinence Doesn’t Work

By: rkinne01 in People Who Are..., Bossy, Sex, Gay, Lesbian, General, Religion - on December 29th, 2008

http://news.yahoo.com/s/hsn/20081229/hl_hsn/manyteensdontkeepvirginitypledg es

I have always thought that teaching only abstinence was stupid and now I have proof.  Abstinence didn't work in 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, or the 90's and will not work now. We're wired to have sex, hitting puberty is simply the beginning of human sexuality, a fact that can't be denied.  A vast majority of our youth are going to be sexually active, telling them to just say no just doesn't cut it.

We have to give kids information to protect them from STD's, pregnancy, and from thier own misconceptions.  I am not saying that we shouldn't tell kids to wait for sex, but to just give them that facts to protect themselves if they DO choose to get laid.

The churches need to raid the collection plates and buy themselves a clue, substaining from sex just isn't realistic. The Pope and the Catholic Church need to pull thier collective heads out of the sand, people are dying because of your outdated teachings. People in Africa are dying by the MILLIONS because of AIDS, and the Pope is still telling them to not use condoms. I wonder how many deaths he is responsible for, it boggles the mind.

Here’s an ‘idea’ . . .

By: WalterTH3rd in In the News, Sex, General, Politics/Politicians, Dating, Laws, Love, Life - on May 29th, 2008

Over in in California there has been movement to legalize same sex marriages. And with it a move to place (once again) legalizing it (or not) on this November's ballot. Here are a few thoughts from MY mind and beliefs -

While I personally am not against same sex 'marriages, we already have that, it is called 'Domestic Partnerships. All the same tax breaks and divorce rights without the title 'Married', but let us say this does pass, after all the main argument I have heard/read is that since the parties are consenting adults, what is the harm? I agree, if it isn't hurting me or isn't directly effecting ME, why should I  care? I won't, for the purposes of this 'argument' bring religion into it, just stick with the laws of the land and the opinions I have heard/read.

So, as consenting adults, two people of the same sex SHOULD be allowed to marry! After all, it is between adults, right? So, while we are at it, if someone has three or FORTY women that are all adults and all want to marry one man, that should also be allowed as well. It isn't hurting anyone else, right? What about two closely (brother and sister) decide they are really in love with each other, once they reach 18, they too should be allowed to marry, right? What about if the parents child, once that age of consent is reached, decides to marry their parent, it is between adults, right, no harm no foul, as the saying goes.

Now, let's take that a little further, since this country 'loves' to allow foreign cultures to 'dictate' what is right and not in this country, since some cultures allow the very young to marry, why not here? Pretty sure I saw a documentary about a young woman in Afghanistan that was married off at the ripe old age of 11 to a man old enough to be her great grand father, and she was just one of MANY wives! Should we start that practice here as well?

Where do we draw the line? I read somewhere that some of the Great Apes (Chimps, Baboons, Gorilla's etc) have the same capacity of love that humans do, what if someone fell in love with a Chimpanzee? Would they be allowed marriage rights if they could 'prove' the love went both ways? Where do we draw the line, and do we even have the right to DRAW that line?

As I said before, I won't bring religion into my argument, because, as you can read, I don't think I needed to. However, feel free to fire that first shot, just remember; I did not! I could have, perhaps I should have, but I did not.

What are YOUR thoughts?

This May Ruffle Your Feathers

By: rkinne01 in In the News, Sex, Gay, Lesbian, General, Politics/Politicians, Dating, Boyfriends, Girlfriends, Religion, Fatherhood/Dads - on May 25th, 2008

I cannot believe Abstinence is taught in the schools today instead sex education. Abstinence is a complete and total failure, it didn't work in the past and won't now. I don't have a problem with teaching the kids that abstaining is the best option but sex ed should be taught as well. I find it amusing that its the baby Boomers who are preaching this failed policy, hypocrites.

I think that there is so much more mis-information than ever out there in regards to sex. Our kids need to be informed properly so that don't end up with a pregnancy or STD statistic. They should be taught how conception occurs and what steps can be taken to reduce exposure to diseases like AIDS or herpes.

They should also be taught the proper use of condoms, contraception, and how there anatomy should used.  Pregnancy prevention products are useless if not used properly (condoms can rip if not used correctly and can be uncomfortable).

Girls should be taught proper feminie hygenie, how to examine breasts for lumps, and checking the vaginal area for health concerns.  Boys should be taught to check for testicular cancer and other problems.

I know some of you are going to say that its the parents responsibility to explain "the birds and bees" to thier kids but the fact is that they're not doing it.  Today's parents are both working to put food on the table without enough time to have discussions about sex with the kids.

Did you know that 1 out every 4 women will raped at some point (not sure what it is for men)? Would your daughter or son know what to do if they were assaulted? I think this something that teens should be taught, what to do or not do if they a raped. Parents should have this discussion with their kids as well, especially girls.

Kids today think that oral sex is not sex at all and offers no risk, certian sexual positions won't lead to pregnancy, that "pulling out" in time gaurantees safe sex, etc… If there is no sex ed how will any of these myths be dispelled? I highly doubt any teen is going to ask mom and dad about them and if they will the parents have all the right answer?

In closing, I just think that the benefits of sex education far outweight the risks. Solely teaching abstinence is just folly and ineffective.

#18!

By: Dawn in OT: Not Necessarily a Pet Peeve, Sex, Parenting, Children, Motherhood/Moms, Fatherhood/Dads - on May 9th, 2008

I was just watching the today show and remember that family with 17 kids? well, she's working on #18 now!!! and the today show sent the kids out to get their mom some presents for mother's day and one of the presents was an outfit and the host asked why she got her an outfit and the daughter said because most of her clothes are maternity cuz she's usually pregnant!!! yeah, no sh*t, huh??? and she still says she wants MORE!! the youngest one is barely one year old and I think the oldest is about 19 or 20. they are going to have a reality show on discovery health channel called "On the Road with 16 kids". well, more power to them, cuz it could NEVER be me!

I'm just really curious, will there EVER be a point where they say enough is enough?? they said, oh we leave it in God's hands to give us however many children we have! Okay, so is she gonna be 50 yrs old still spitting them out?? some people have menopause late, and I know they prob WON'T stop having sex, so I guess as long as she has no complicated births or medical problems, she'll be a baby making factory.

Honestly Don’t They Have Anything Better to Do?

By: rkinne01 in People Who Are..., In the News, Sex, Politics/Politicians, Right, Stupid - on April 26th, 2008

http://www.newsweek.com/id/13 4035?GT1=43002

Jesus, Whats so wrong with allowing our men and women in uniform to buy some porn?  We ask them to move away from their family, friends, and lovers; the least we could do allow them a little sexual relief!  I don't buy this arse wipe's argument that any enlisted man will become a rapist by reading a dirty magazine.  Senator Broun is yet another glaring example of a worthless piece of crap politician who wastes tax payer money on non-sense.  I'm willing to bet this impotent SOB has plenty of Playboys in his house, this judemental prick couldn't get laid in a free whorehouse.  Hell even Monica Lewinsky would turn him down!

To this woman who was offended by seeing the Officer by a magazine, mind your F'ing business. You've got a husband to go home to, why should you give rats fart what that man does in the privacy of his own home? I hate to tell you honey, but your kids know what naked men and women look like, get over it.  Get a life a you sexually repressed shrew.

These men and woman are out defending our rights and they can't beat off to a video or magazine just like anyone else?  It just doesn't make any sense.

We've got bigger fish to fry these days we don't have the time or money to be wasting on trival BS.  I am so tempted to go out to buy several Playboy and Playgirl magazines to send our troops with this jerk off's name on the shipping box.  Mr. Congressman if you're not down with that then I got three words for ya "KISS MY @$$"!

Sex and more Sex……

By: cocas in People Who Are..., Sex - on April 1st, 2008

Ok, I love sex just like everyone else….  BUT there as to be a differant solution when it comes to the NOISE….. I live in apt.  And of course walls are not that thick.   I have a neighbor who basically works nights and is gone most days (staying at his place) But for the past few months (I am in my room on my computer and there BRM is right under mine) I hear her moaning and real loud and the thing is there is people that walk in frount of this place.  Alot of activity and I would think someone would of said something by now.

Like I said I love sex but do you have to make it public and let every one know about it by the noises??  Sure it is ok hear and there - get what is good..

But what if I had my grandkids here and they hear that???  What do I say..   Oh she must of cut herself shaving..

This is there "love spot" and that is fine.   The other day he was here before her and then she showed up and NOT 5 mins.  They were doing it and I started laughing it is like she just walked in give her time to take her shoes off LOL…

One night I was trying to sleep (I have been kind of sick and just had surgery) and all of a sudden the moans..  I was not myself that night so I got up and took my office chair and tipped it backwards too let them know I can hear them..

They took that as something else because since then they have been making way too much noise when they are here.

I am thinking they want a kid but why?  Reason is she works all these hours and when she is here with him they spend most of there time in the bed.

Or they just love sex with each other and that is fine they are getting there "suki, suki" in but it doesn't need to be known about.

I was on pain pills and I was hurting alot and wanting to go rest in bed but I told my mom that "well they are home downstairs and they are at it again so I will stay here for right now becaause I don't want to hear it tonight".  She laughed and it is kind of funny.  But give it a break sometime.   I don't want to say anything to embarrassed them so I guess I will just have to take it..

What is it with the men in today's society?  Looks like the majority of every "breeder" is hitting on the women folk from time to time except for me.  What's wrong with this picture?  I go to night clubs with my girl co-workers, I go shopping or cruising by myself from time to time, and not one guy (good looking & a good job PLEASE!!) wants to take a hit on me.  GRRR!  After being separated from my idiot jerk of a husband (and working on my divorce case), I need some loving too, dang it!!  Hell, I want to scream like a banshee within a 50 mile radius like every other woman in the US and abroad.  And sorry guys, I am not into the online dating services anymore due to fact that THEY DO NOT WORK!!!  And going to church to find a guy ain't worth it either.  Most of them are too old to shake a tail feather….that's if they have one back there.  I'm tired of being lonely but hell, I'm tired of being passed over to some fake version of Paris Hilton.  Give me a break!!

THE DAY THE PENIS ASKED FOR A RAISE!!

I, the penis, hereby request a raise in salary for the following reasons:

I do physical labor

I work at great depths

I plunge headfirst into everything I do

I do not get weekends or holidays off

I work in a damp environment

I work in a dark workplace that has poor ventilation

I work in high temperatures

My work exposes me to contagious disease

Sincerely,

P. Niss

Response from Management

Dear P. Niss

After assessing your request, and considering the arguments you have raised, the administration rejects your request for the following reasons:

You do not work 8 hours straight

You fall asleep after brief work periods

You do not always follow the orders of the management team

You do not stay in your designated area and are often seen visiting other locations!

You do not take initiative..you need to be pressured and stimulated in order to start working

You leave the work place might messy at the end of your shift

You don't always observe necessary safety regulations…such as wearing protective clothing

You will retire well before you are 65

You are unable to work double shifts

You sometimes leave your work area before completing assigned task

And if that weren't enough….you have been seen constantly entering and exiting the work place carrying two suspicious-looking bags

Sincerely,

V. Gina

I’m Ticked Off

By: rkinne01 in Movies, Television, Gay, Entertainment, Music, Politics/Politicians, Left, Right, War in Iraq, Terrorism, Politicians, Laws, Life, Commercials - on March 11th, 2008

We need to get our Priorities Straight…..

Millions of families are losing their homes but instead of giving them a helping hand we're building homes for someone in a country that doesn't even like us.

Soldiers are coming home from the wars injured and yet we can't provide them adequte care. Is it any wonder that recruiters are not filling their enlistment qoutas?

We tell our gay citizens that they can't marry because marriage is sacred, all the while the divorce rate is 50%. Sacred indeed! Call me what you will, but if marriage is so scared how come so many are so quick to divorce? Apparently 50% of the population must have a different understanding of the word sacred than I do.

We've got terrorists whining that we're violating their civil rights but then behead someone on live TV. STOP BEING A TERRORIST AND MAYBE YOU WOULDN'T BE TORTURED! Oh and by the way you're not American citizens, you don't deserve the rights our forefathers fought so hard to bring us! Do us a favor, take that machette you use to behead others, place the sharp edge along your throat, and fall! Your 40 virgins are waiting for you, and they're honry!

This to those who think that the terrorists should have rights, tell it to the Pearl family or to any other family who's loved ones were butchered by these freaks. Just think someday it could be your baby girl on TV minus her head.

We're giving illegal immigrants access to Social Security without them having put one red cent into it, but someone who has paid into it is rejected? I wish I could opt out and invest the money for myself, but I'm sure the government would find a way to punish us for it…..wait they already do with taxes.

Why can't we make these jerk offs in Washington pass a bill saying they can't hide one bill in another? Example: You can't sneak in a proposal for a bridge to nowhere with a bill about highway improvement. Enough of the back door politics.

To consevatives, liberals, republicans, and democarts: Stay the hell outta my home and business! I can decide my own my morals, I don't want a group of people who aren't morally correct themselves telling me what to do. My regards to whatever hooker you've picked up for tonight Mr. Congressman, enjoy!

I'm tired of you lazy parents who think it should be the job of the government to censor whatever it is you don't like on TV, on the radio, or on the internet! How about doing it yourself? Turn on the VChip on the TV, take the TV or computer outta their bedroom, and be aware of the ratings on games/movies/DVD's. If you don't want your kids watching shows like Dexter then change the channel to the Disney channel. Don't like Howard Stern? Turn the radio off! Take few minutes to learn about setting up filters to prevent the kids from surfing porn, its easy. Not everything is meant for childrens eyes, take some responsibility for your kids or tick off the Pope by using birth control.

S. Korea + adultry = Jail Time

By: MNolen in In the News, Sex, Laws, Life, Stupid - on January 30th, 2008

A top South Korean movie actress who is facing criminal charges for an extramarital affair filed a complaint on Wednesday against the country's adultery law, her lawyers said.

The petition by Ok So-Ri, 39, will rekindle debate over whether the 54-year-old law should be scrapped. According to South Korean statutes, when a spouse accuses a partner of adultery he or she must also file for divorce.

Ok's husband Park Chul, 40, has filed a criminal case against her, accusing her of being unfaithful.

Her defence counsel filed the complaint with a court in Goyang City, a northern satellite town of Seoul, where the adultery case involving Ok has been proceeding since last November.

"The adultery law constitutes a serious breach of the individual's rights to make decisions concerning sex and privacy under the constitution," the defence said in the petition.

"Adultery cases must be handled in civil courts, not in criminal courts."

The district court has said it would consider asking the Constitutional Court to rule on the petition.

At a tearful news conference Ok admitted having an affair with a singer for a few months in 2006 but put the blame on her loveless marriage to Park.

The law sets a maximum two-year prison sentence for adultery but most such cases are settled out of court.

Complaints against the legislation were filed in 1990, 1993 and 2001. The Constitutional Court rejected them on the grounds that social morality may be weakened.

But the legislation keeps coming under attack, with two petitions currently before the Constitutional Court.

Can You imagine how overcrowded our Jail system would be here in the states, if we had a law like that??? I couldn't believe that they can actually get jail time for having an affair! Korea is just got some WAY overbearing hands over their public! That is so crazy how a country where you live can be so "involved" in your personal business.
